Umrah is the most
important Spiritual prayer and considered as one of the major pillars of Islam like “Hajj”. It is well known as the Sunnah of Prophet “Muhammad” (PBUH) that can be performed
at any time in the year except for the dedicated “Hajj” days in which Umrah
closes. Umrah itself holds huge
reward and big values in Islam but
it is not also obligatory like “Hajj”.
Significance
of Umrah In Islam:
Everyone must be known that every pilgrim who is going for
the holiest journey to perform Hajj
or even Umrah is the guests of “Allah Almighty”, handing over who have
moved toward to Him. Like “Hajj”, Umrah also has the greatest importance and
significance in Islam, because it is
dedicated with the Sunnah of Prophet “Muhammad”
(PBUH) and every pilgrim spends his money and time only for Allah and his blessings.
In a hadith
found in the book of Ibn-e-Maajah,
The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
“The performers of Hajj and Umrah are delegation/Guest
of Allah (SWT). If they call Him, He answers and if they asked for forgiveness,
He forgives them.”
Another hadith clearly shows the great significance of Umrah and how much:
“Allah (SWT) loves those who sacrifice their time and wealth for His cause”
The best gift ALLAH
Almighty has given to all Muslims is that He forgives all the pilgrims of Umrah and free them from their sins
that they have done in their life.
There are also countless awards declared by the Allah Almighty for the pilgrims
according to Quran and Sunnah. However, the promise of “Allah Almighty” is fulfilled only if
the Umrah is performed in the right
way with true intentions and from the heart. Once Prophet “Muhammad” (PBUH) was asked about the best good deed, our Prophet
replied:
“The Utmost struggle is Jihad and the next is accepted Umrah and Hajj”
Method to
Perform Umrah:
It should be required for every pilgrim to know about the
exact ways to perform Umrah. Although,
Umrah is also an act of prayer but
not like regular Namaz & other
Prayers. It has steps and whole method to be performed in the right way. The
steps to perform Umrah are:

It is compulsory for every Pilgrim to wear “Ihram” after
taking bathing completely to ensure cleanses. Men should wear only Ihram and
bear the right shoulder at the time of Tawaf. But as concerned with women,
there is no specific clothing for them. They are prohibited to wear the Niqaab
(face-veil) and gloves. They may cover their hands with the lower part of their
khimaar (head covering).

Intension
Every pilgrim should show his/her intention by declaring “Labbaik Allahumma Umrah” means (Allah
Almighty, I am here for Umrah)
Make the Talbiyah

Entering
Masjid Al Haram
Every Pilgrim should enter in the Masjid Al Haram with his

Maqaam-e-Ibraheem
After completing the Tawaf, the pilgrim should proceed to
Maqaam-e-Ibraheem and offer two (2) Rakkaat especially.

Sa’i (7 rounds of Saffa to Marwa Mountain) contain
significant importance in the whole Umrah. In Sa’i, every pilgrim should
